Hamish stepped down as IPA Director General in July 2011 after ten years in the role. In September he was appointed Strategic Advisor to integrated creative agency 23red. He is also an ASA Council member and partner in Pringle and Pringle LLP.
During his 26-year agency career Hamish worked at ten UK agencies for more than thirty companies on over fifty brands.
He is a Fellow of both the IPA and the Marketing Society, and a member of the Marketing Group of Great Britain.
Hamish is the co-author of Brand Spirit, Brand Manners, Brand Immortality, and Spending Advertising Money in the Digital Age, and author of Celebrity Sells.
He is also the inventor of the Diagonal Thinking concept.
