The Challenge:
There is an ongoing need to build brand trust amongst Happy Meal Parents (especially mums), as well as engage restaurant franchises within the local community.
The Activation:
Working with the four UK football associations and investing in local communities through football and coaching. McDonald's created a restaurant and club twinning programme, incorporating football Open Days around the UK to drive the local relevance. The Community Shield match and Awards act as the showcase for the community football programme, and their International Player Escort programme provides incredible football experiences for youngsters walking out on to the pitch with their footballing heroes.
