New Packaging and Amazing Growth for Blistex

Challenge

Our brief was to create a new look for the iconic Blistex lipcare brand which appealed to modern female consumers, engaged shoppers and helped them quickly understand the eight products and their benefits.

Solution

On a strategic and technical level, we utilised insights into how consumers shop in the lipcare category to simplify the decision process. We segmented the Blistex range into three groups: ‘Daily Care’ ‘Medical’ and ‘Cosmetic’.

Through the packaging creative we maximised the appeal of the products and  used illustrations to capture both the benefit and the essence of each item in the range.

Daily Care products were given a soothing feel. Medical packs took inspiration from scientific illustrations.  And flavour cues and fun were the key aspects for the Cosmetic products.

Results

With products seeing increases as high as +65% YOY in key accounts, the impact on sales speaks for itself.
