Being born and raised by the sea, Richard’s career in the Royal Navy was cut short only when they discovered he couldn’t see any of the fleet. At the time, art college was his ’plan B’. Fortunately, it was there that he discovered his talent for “drawing and that” could actually be used to support his bicycle habit.
Over the last 18 years, Richard’s worked on a diverse range of brands - from Microsoft to MetLife, Scottish Widows to L’Oreal - across the full gamut of media. Happily, he’s picked up awards for both creative and effectiveness in DM, online advertising, press and radio. Unsurprisingly, Richard’s hobbies include: thinking about the work; narrowing his eyes while thinking about the work and fretting about the work.
He loves the mighty Arsenal and his wife Michelle, though not in equal measure. The exact ratio is yet to be decided. This season, Michelle is in the lead.
