The challenge
Nuffield Health, the UK's largest healthcare charity, wanted to boost awareness among female consumers of their health and wellbeing campaigning work, their 65 wellbeing centres and their 12-point Health MOT.

Audience insight
Analysis of 54,000 Health MOTs revealed that most women had larger-than-healthy waist sizes. Other gym chains might have focused on this as a cosmetic issue, but by utilising Nuffield Health’s combined medical and fitness expertise we created a story warning UK women about the health risks of abdominal obesity, including breast cancer and infertility. We launched this to media, packaged up with personal training and nutritional tips, an infographic and case studies to ensure women had the information they needed to make small, positive changes.

Results
The story led the news agenda on launch day, with more than 300 media hits. From Susanna Reid having her waist measured to hundreds of people commenting on our BBC News Online article, we reached an estimated 43 million people with the coverage.
