McCann Manchester worked with wholesaler Makro to create a social media strategy which would engage small businesses about its brand and raise awareness of its special offers and products.
The retailer wanted to increase positive sentiment towards the brand online and increase conversations and followers in various social media channels.
McCann Manchester created a presence for Makro across all social media and searched out conversations taking place about all manner of business issues relevant to the Makro customer.
The number of Facebook fans for Makro increased significantly during a ‘tag the deal’ promotional period and Makro reached over 48,000 people through retweets on Twitter via a ‘Tweet a Price’ promotion.
