CLIENT CHALLENGE

To celebrate the 30th anniversary of 205 GTi, Peugeot produced a beefed-up 208 GTi Anniversary Limited Edition and a nostalgic high budget ‘boys own’ TV ad full of explosions, car chases and military aircraft. With only 100 on sale in the UK, Peugeot wanted to piggyback off the excitement to increase sales of their 208 range.

CAPTIVATING THINKING

The 205 GTi was the affordable hot-hatchback of choice bought by the yuppie generation. Our audience is now in their ‘responsible years’– with families, homes and careers. We wanted to remind them that when you’re revving up a GTi even the most mundane task can turn into a heart-racing interlude in an otherwise predictable day - so we created a personalised Graphic Novel to show how we could make them feel more alive on any old trip. A push to a TUMBLR site dialled up the excitement and nostalgia – starting many a GTi conversation and making a test-drive irresistible.
