Our challenge
Viber is a pioneering mobile messaging, voice and video app. Launched in 2010 it lets everyone in the world connect, freely. We were asked to develop a global brand identity to distance Viber from the feature-led positioning that defines its market, and to connect with a global audience.

What we did
We changed Viber from a tech brand to a lifestyle brand, and in the process created a visual identity and messaging system that was all about celebrating positivity and expressing emotions.

We knew Viber existed in very different territories, so we deliberately created a modular visual identity system that could be easily adapted and customised by local markets, enabling them to add their local flavour when required.

How did we do?
Since the global brand launch Viber has seen registered users rise steadily from 300 to 550 million and has opened offices in the key territories of Japan, Russia and the USA.
