The Minimart has been awarded the global account for Merrell, a leading brand of outdoor shoes and clothing.

The Minimart has been awarded the global account for Merrell, a leading brand of outdoor shoes and clothing. Based in the US, Merrell appointed the London based agency after a successful pitch against undisclosed agencies.

Effective immediately, The Minimart will be responsible for developing a new campaign to roll out across Merrell’s international markets starting with their Spring/Summer 2011 range.

Ed Chilcott, partner at The Minimart said, “Merrell is one of the biggest players in the outdoor market and we are delighted to be working with them on such an important global brief. The fact they chose us based on our strategic thinking and creativity is testament to their creative ambition for the brand and is the reason we are so excited to be working with them”.

Linda Brunzell, Merrell’s Marketing Director commented, “As Merrell continues its global expansion, our brand needs a unique way to communicate our “Let’s Get Outside” message. We are happy to have the Minimart join our extended Brand Family”.

The campaign, running in press, online, outdoor and in-store, will launch in Spring 2011 to coincide with Merrell’s new Spring/Summer footwear and clothing ranges.
